CASAL School of Worship Arts (Present)

Private Music Instruction

    Responsibilities include teaching violin, mandolin, piano, guitar, bass, and drum lessons, managing five youth praise bands, and organizing performances and worship nights.

Wordsmith Writer's Clinic


    Responsibilities include developing curriculum for and teaching middle-school level writing workshops for homeschooled students.

    The Hebrews were not permitted by the Philistines in the days of Samuel to have a smith amongst them, lest they should make them swords and spears (1 Sam. 13:19).
    The purpose of the Wordsmith Writing Clinic is to equip and develop fluent and prolific writers who take joy in honoring God through words.

    Solo taught for seven weeks and shared teaching duties for the remainder of the semester with a mentor teacher.
    Conducted an action research project: "The Role of Tasks in Increasing Conceptual Math Performance".

Fourth Grade

    Solo taught in an ELL inclusion classroom for seven weeks and shared teaching duties for the remainder of the semester with a mentor teacher.
    Conducted an action research project: "Music and Motivation in Language Instruction".

Miss Jennifer's Music Studio (Oct. 1996 – May 2003)

    Miss Jennifer’s Music Studio has had as many as 37 violin, guitar, and piano students enrolled. Students aged 3 through 55 have enjoyed participating in individual or group lessons. Ensemble experiences are encouraged and arranged by the studio. The studio provides recital opportunities on an annual basis.

Providence Community School (Aug. 2002 – May 2003)

Third Grade

    Responsibilities included preparing lesson plans, teaching, and evaluating 3rd grade students in the following subject areas: math, reading, spelling, English language, penmanship, and history/geography.

Latin I

    Responsibilities included preparing lesson plans, teaching, and evaluating first year Latin students from grades 3 through 6.

Music

    Responsibilities included developing a music curriculum and teaching music classes for Kindergarten through 6th grade.

Hampton Cove Academy (Dec. 1998 - May 2003)

Music

    Responsibilities included developing age appropriate units of instruction and teaching music appreciation classes for children ranging in age from 18 months to 11 years.

Computer

    Responsibilities included developing age appropriate units of instruction and teaching computer classes for children ranging in age from 4 years to 11 years.

French

    Responsibilities included developing age appropriate units of instruction and teaching French classes for children ranging in age from 5 years to 11 years

Physical Education

    Responsibilities included teaching physical education classes for children ranging in age from 4 years to 11 years

Fifth Grade

    Responsibilities included preparing lesson plans, teaching, and evaluating in the following subject areas: Bible, science, English grammar, literature, and spelling.

Additional responsibilities included maintaining a network of ten computers, directing annual Christmas and spring musical programs, arranging weekly chapel activities, publishing yearbooks and newsletters, developing and maintaining a school website for student work, and presenting sessions at teacher training seminars.

Westminster Christian Academy (June 1997 – August 1997 & June 1998 – August 1998)

    Responsibilities included developing summer camp materials and teaching a first grade class and music classes for 1st through 6th grades
